QUI SUIS-JE ?
Je suis un petit mammifère appartenant à l'ordre des Rongeurs, et à la famille des Sciuridés.
Le terme Écureuil de Corée est donné à certains petits écureuils rayés du genre "Tamias". Ce nom est utilisé principalement en Europe par les commerces d'animaux de compagnie depuis le début des années 60.
Ces écureuils appartiennent à 2 espèces de tamias très proches d'aspect:
- Tamias sibiricus ou "Ecureuil de Sibérie" (le plus commercialisé par les animaleries),
- Tamias striatus ou "Tamias rayé".
